Mentoring First Generation College Students

In May, I had the pleasure of working with Latinas on the Verge of Excellence (LOVE) Mentoring and speaking to students attending The Young Women's Leadership School in Harlem. 

 

Too often, first-generation college students have the misconception that they are in school to get good grades, not make friends. Click on the video above to see how my story of almost marrying Rick Fox gets the students to think differently about networking.
